Our Story
Michael and Vanessa Prinkey find peace in the outdoors. Blessed and committed in marriage, they like to walk at the beach, visit botanical gardens, and explore state parks. Their mission is to help themselves and others live a grounded outdoor lifestyle, focusing on outdoor wellness. They follow a natural rhythm that goes something like: Move • Make • Learn • Return. They do all of this with their puppy companions: Rigby and Appa.
Michael here, and I believe in the transcendentalists like Emerson and Thoreau, who find calmness and connection with God through nature. I hope to help others turn off their devices and let nature restore them by the power of God. I've witnessed how the pandemics quarantine cleaned up the oceans in California and how ecosystems have a way with naturally restoring themselves. In my opinion, we don't need to invent anything new to save the world, we just need to reduce our waste and sinful nature here on earth. Treat God's gifts with thoughtfulness and responsibility. We should become a refuge and safe place for people, just like the beautiful places we visit that provide these for us.
Vanessa here, and I believe in natural: beauty, health products, foods, as well as distracting ourselves with the outdoors to keep us moving and our spirits young. I am thankful to God for our everyday gifts and for the life He has given us. I find a lot of enjoyment in our puppies and can't help but groom and style them to their best puppy-selves, making the other dogs jealous. I listen to Casting Crowns almost everyday and worship His name on high. I love to visit new places and take beautiful pictures, especially at dusk. I think we should take care of our bodies that God has given us, and show others how to instill self care and preventative care in their lives. We should ground ourselves in the outdoors and build that fire and remember how blessed we are to nourish ourselves with God's creation.
