The Oversoul
I was just recently reading some of Emerson’s essays that I rented out from the public library. One of them really made me dream and provide a romantic-idealistic view of how we are all connected by something he calls the “Oversoul.” While I read this more so like the Holy Spirit, it reframes this in a way of how everything living thing is connected. The grass, to the ant, to the human, to the giraffe, to the whales, we all are connected. It got me thinking of how great it is to be part of God’s full creation. How there is this language that get’s transferred into God’s ether and reminds us if we were meant to visit a friend we would, if not, it would be mutually okay not to. Because we are all part of the same team, or mission in life.
